If you are looking for something to do Sunday afternoon and are interested in local history, the Hempstead County Historical Society has the activity for you.
The Hempstead County Historical Society will be hosting a bus tour of the Redland Township, McCaskill community and the surrounding area this Sunday, September 23. The tour will visit the north central section of current Hempstead County and explore its history.
The bus will leave at 2 p.m. from the parking lot at the intersection of East 3rd St. and South Elm St. in Hope (across from BancorpSouth).
The tour will last a little over 2 hours. Admission price for the tour is $10 per person and will go to support the Historical Society. Reservations are required. Seating is limited. To reserve your seat call 870-703-8256 or email email@example.com.
The Hempstead County Historical Society will be providing a series of bus tours each month to each of the different townships of Hempstead County as part of the celebration of the bicentennial of Hempstead County.
