The Hope Police Department will be having a little fun with the community while raising money for their annual Santa Cop program during their Santa Cop Home Run Derby and Softball Game.

The Santa Cop Program makes sure kids who officers have interacted with during the year won’t go without during Christmas time.

The fundraiser will be held Tuesday, August 28 at 6 p.m. and the Home Run Derby is open to the public.

The event will include three Home Run Derbies and a Veterans vs Rookies.

There are three classifications for the Derby.

  • Lady Cat Field:
    • Kids age 12 and under with a first place ribbon going to the winner.
    • Women 13 and over with a trophy going to first place
  • Legion Field:
    • Men 13 and over with a trophy going to first place

The Veterans vs. Rookies game will be held at Lady Cat Field after the derbies.

Hot dogs and bottled water will be available with donation.

If you would like to donate to the Santa Cop Program, you can make checks payable to Hope Police Department Santa Cop Program.
