Mr. Johnny Calvin Burke passed from this life into eternal rest on Friday, August 17, 2018 in Heather Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on November 13, 1935 in DeAnn Arkansas to Annie May Lowe Burke and Jessie Calvin Burke.

Johnny was a graduate of Hope High School and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He was an Army Veteran and a farmer. Johnny was a member of the First United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Century Bible Class. He was also a member of the Diamondhead Community Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas where he taught youth Sunday School Classes.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Flowers Burke; a grandson and his mother, Nate and Jodi Burke; stepdaughters, Dana Flowers Cox and husband Bryan, Julie Flowers Paddie; step grandchildren Will Cox, Hunter Sears and wife Ashley, Zac Cox and wife Lindsy, Heather Sears Formby and husband Jonathan; two step great-granddaughters, Ellie Ann Sears and Emerie Grace Formby. He is also survived by a special nephew, Bo Burke and wife Tina and host of nieces, nephews and other family relations.

He was predeceased by his parent; a son, John Gilbert Burke; a grandson, Jackson Calvin Burke; brothers, James Hoyt Burke and Ralph Burke; sisters, Arlene Willis, Sue Roe, Ann Woodward and Belva June Glanton.

Graveside Service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope with Keenan Williams officiating under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home of Hope.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church at 2300 South Main Street Hope, AR 71801.
