The 8th North Task Force, Hope Police Department and other agencies made two more recent arrests in Hope.
Chief Wilson said officers from the Hope Police Department took 23-year-old Stephen Hendrix into custody Monday, July 16 as a result of an investigation by the 8th North Task Force.
Hendrix was arrested and charged for alleged delivery of cocaine and marijuana.
Hendrix was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility.
According to Hope Police Chief J.R. Wilson, the Task Force, Hope Police Officers and other law enforcement arrested 37-year-old Corey J. Armstrong, of Hope, after serving search warrants at a residence in the 1000 block of North Sherman Street on Friday, July 20.
Armstrong was charged with aggravated assault, stemming from an incident that reportedly took place on North Sherman on April 25, and terroristic threatening in the first degree, stemming from an event on North Sherman on April 27.
According to Chief Wilson, during the execution of the warrants, Armstrong was allegedly found to be in possession of 5.3 grams of cocaine, an unspecified amount of marijuana, pills and paraphernalia and a .40 caliber handgun. Chief Wilson said he was additionally charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine and simultaneous possession of a firearm and narcotics.
Armstrong was arrested and transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility.
