The 8th North Task Force continues pursuing its pledge to target those involved in drug distribution in Hempstead and Nevada Counties, arresting two more men Friday and confiscating thousands of dollars’ worth of meth and a firearm.
According to Hempstead County Sheriff James Singleton, agents from the task force and deputies from Hempstead County arrested Kacey Allen Bunnell, 21, and Chad Hamm, 47, both of Hope, Friday, July 20.
Both men were charged with trafficking controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bunnell was additionally charged with possession of a weapon by certain persons.
According to the Sheriff, agents and deputies seized 342 grams (12.9 oz) of meth, valued at around $30,000, scales, a 9mm handgun and $362 in cash that was allegedly in Bunnell’s and Hamm’s possession.
Both men were transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for their first court appearance.
