FULTON, AR – The bridges over Red River on I-30 and Highway 67 will be temporarily closed Friday morning while crews demolish three piers from the old I-30 bridge.

According to the Arkansas DOT, crews from Jensen Construction plan to close both bridges for about 10-15 minutes at 9 a.m. if weather permits.

Interstate 30 westbound lanes will be closed at Mile Marker 18 in Hempstead County.  Eastbound lanes will be closed at Mile Marker 16 in Miller County.

Eastbound U.S. Highway 67 traffic will be stopped near Mile Marker 16, just west of the Boll Weevil Convenience Store.  Westbound traffic will be stopped at the Intersection of Highways 355 and 67 in Fulton, near Suny’s Food Mart & Deli.

ARDOT reminds drivers to exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
