HOPE, AR – If you were a fan of keeping up with what is going on with the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office and who’s been booked into the jail with the MobilePatrol app, there’s good news for you. The Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office, which stopped its participation with MobilePatrol some time ago, has released its very own app into the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Simply go to the store and search “Hempstead County Sheriff”. You can also download the app by visiting hemspteadcountysheriff.org/app.
The app has several features including the popular inmate roster, press releases, sex offender map, most wanted and easy ways to contact the sheriff’s office and submit crime tips. The crime tip submission still allows you to remain anonymous. You can also quickly access the sheriff’s office website and Facebook page. Users can choose which, if any, push notifications they want to receive from the app.
Hempstead County Sheriff James Singleton said, “The App is an additional way to provide transparency for the Sheriff’s Office and encourage the public to take an active role in community policing efforts. We would love for every county resident or visitor to download our app and sign up for our push notifications. We believe our app will be a huge benefit to the Sheriff’s Office and the residents of Hempstead County as well.”
The app was developed by Brooks Jeffrey Marketing, Inc., a national Website, App, and marketing company headquartered in Mountain Home, AR.
I’ve spent some time with the app on the iPhone and it is easy to navigate and responsive. Each section is quickly accessible from the home page. The Menu button in the top left allows you to go in and set what notifications you would like to receive including daily jail roster, most wanted, sex offender and press releases.
For more information about the new mobile App, please contact the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office at 870-777-6727 or visit hempsteadcountysheriff.org.
