HOPE, AR – According to Hempstead County Sheriff James Singleton, the Sheriff’s Office will be offering a free class on Church Safety and Active Shooters to all churches in Hempstead County.
The three-hour class, prepared by one of the Hempstead County investigators, will not only cover active shooter situations but also natural disasters and other emergencies that can occur while people are gathered at a place of worship.
Sheriff Singleton said their goal is to seek out every church and house of worship in the county and provide them this information.
The first class will be held Tuesday, November 21 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Rafter J Cowboy Church. The class is limited to 30 people. Rafter J is located about 4 miles south of UAHT on Highway 29 South.
