Mary Joyce Perkins-Pace was born February 10, 1955 in Hope, Arkansas to the late Ben and Lauree Perkins.  Mary was one of 5 children.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ben Perkins and Clarence Perkins, Sr.

Mary leaves to cherish her precious memory, two daughters, Adrienne L. Pace (Hope, Arkansas) and Erika L. Armstrong (Hope, Arkansas); sister, Betty Perkins and Anita Perkins (Hope, Arkansas).

Mary was surrounded and loved by an extensive host of nieces and nephews shared special relationship with each.  Mary will be missed by a host of family and a plethora of good friends; including long time friend, Joyce Marie Coleman (Hope, Arkansas), who she affectionately called “Partna.”

Mary was a 1973 graduate of Hope High School.  She was an avid fan of music of all genres and worked for many years to help build the renowned sounds of Klipsch (Hope, Arkansas).  Also, Mary was dedicated in her work with co-workers who she cherished at Funder America (Hope, Arkansas) for the past 16 years.

Mary carried a sweet, genuine, loving, fair and peaceful spirit wherever she went.  She touched the lives of many with her realness.  Mary welcomed many into her home for peaceful, bright and fun fellowship and socialization.

Mary lived her life with character, independence, style and a solid identity all her own. She was a family centered woman, who treated all those she came to know and love as family.

Mary joined Mt. Zion CME Church, Hope, Arkansas at an early age.  She was a woman who knew God for herself and walked faithfully in a pure spirit of harmony.

Visitation will be held 12-5 p.m., family hour 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 20 at the funeral home.  Funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday, June 21 at Mt. Zion CME Church in Hope.  Burial will be at Scott’s Memorial Gardens in Perrytown.  Arrangements are entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.
