HOPE, AR – A group of 25 Hope High School students recently had a hands-on introduction to a variety of healthcare-related professions at HealthCare Ignite 2017 on the UAHT-Hope campus.
After a tour of the teaching facilities, the group participated in a game of Operation to break the ice about healthcare skills. Medical challenges, such as shaving an inflated balloon, also demonstrated the need for certain dexterity skills. A hands-on practice in drawing blood from a lifelike teaching arm gave a sense of reality to the exercise for the students. – Terri Hoglund for Hope Public Schools
