HOPE, AR – A 15-year-old female was injured after reportedly running a stop sign and T-boning another vehicle Sunday afternoon.

The 15-year-old, unlicensed female was traveling south on North Walker St. in a silver Pontiac Sunfire at around 1:30 p.m. when, according to witnesses, she failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with East Greenwood St. and crashed into the side of a Cadillac DTS that was traveling west. The crash sent the Cadillac spinning into a yard on the southwest corner of  the intersection. The Sunfire came to a stop facing east on Greenwood. According to witnesses, multiple people jumped out of the Sunfire and ran off on foot after the crash.

The Hope Police Department, Hope Fire Department and Pafford EMS responded to the crash. The occupants of the Cadillac were uninjured but the teenage driver of the Sunfire complained of pain to her arm. She was transported to Wadley Regional Medical Center in Hope.

The 15-year-old was cited for the crash.
