A Special life came to a close in Prescott, Arkansas when God called her home.

On November 28, 1933, Lillie Mae Cooper King was born in Emmet, Arkansas to the union of McKinley Cooper and Lillie Clark Cooper.    In 1951 she was united in marriage to Wilburn Davis King, Sr.  To this union four (4) children were born.  She was  preceded in death by her husband, son–Wilburn, Jr., Parents, sisters–Lucy Mae Phillips and Katie Cooper, brother–Willard Cooper Step-Sisters–Reona Cooper, Naomi Hamilton, and three grand children (Alexander McCraw, Ayden and Brayden Hicks).

Lillie retired as a dietician at Heather Manor Nursing and Rehab Facilities in Prescott.

At an early age, Lillie united with the St. John Baptist Church in Hope, Arkansas.  After marriage, she united with the Mt. Ephesus Baptist Church in Prescott, Arkansas.  Over the years, she has served in various areas of the churches: usher, church clerk, Sunday School Teacher and missionary Society.

Left to cherish her memories are her children: Vanessa (Linel) McCraw; Rev. Joe Franklin (Sundra) King and Joe Nathan (Anna) King;  10 grandchildren; Stephanie (Troy), Shanaz, Marquette, Regina (Stacy), Jason (Barbara), Veronica (Lawrence), Ebony, Sharda, Gina, and Emmanuel; 16 great-grandchildren;  2 great-great grandchildren; Sister-in-Law:  Ruby Evans; special friends; David and Lisa Hardamon; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Mrs. King will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service Saturday at the church.  Funeral services will be 11am Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Mt. Ephesus Baptist Church, 1000 Moore Street, Prescott.  Burial will be at Deann Cemetery in Prescott.  Arrangements entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.
