HOPE, AR – Two people were injured Monday morning in a single-vehicle rollover on Spring Hill Rd that resulted in one of the occupants being ejected.

Just before 10:30 a.m., a man and woman were traveling north on Spring Hill Rd at the soccer fields in a red Acura coupe when they crashed. According to witnesses, the Acura crossed into the oncoming lane and swerved back east across the road to avoid oncoming traffic. The car spun out of control and entered the ditch on the east side of the highway where it struck a culvert and flipped over onto its roof in the driveway. The witnesses said the man was thrown out of the back window.

An employee from Pafford EMS reportedly drove up on the crash and stopped to provide aid. The Hope Police Department and the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office responded and began the initial investigation before handing it off to the Arkansas State Police.

The man and woman were both transported by Pafford to Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana.
