HOPE, AR – A woman was transported to the hospital after a crash in Hope Tuesday afternoon.

The crash occurred around 12:45 p.m. when a man traveling in a Chevrolet Impala traveling north on South Elm St. reportedly failed to yield at a stop sign and crashed into a Mitsubishi Lancer that was traveling east on West 6th St. The impact spun both cars around and blocked the southbound lane of Elm on both sides of 6th.

Hope Police Department, Hope Fire Department and Pafford EMS were dispatched to the crash.

Police began their investigation and directed traffic while firefighters and EMS checked on the drivers. The woman driving the Mitsubishi was loaded onto the ambulance after Hope Animal Control picked up her dog for safekeeping for her. She was transported to Wadley Regional Medical Center in Hope. The driver of the Impala was not transported.
