A Blevins man was injured after he crashed his motorcycle into the side of an SUV on South Main St Saturday afternoon.
Steve Hinton and his wife Clydia had just crossed 16th Street as they traveled south on South Main St on their Harley Davidson when a burgundy Buick SUV driven by Bill Watson, of Hope, turned left in fron of them from the northbound lane. The Harley crashed into the rear passenger side door, falling over into the road and blocking the outside lane. Watson, who acknowledged he turned in front of the motorcycle, and several other people checked on Steve and Clydia while they waited for an ambulance.
Hope Police Department and Pafford EMS were dispatched to the scene.
Steve Hinton was complaining of pain and laying in the road but was still in good spirits, even cracking jokes as the crew from Pafford 211 assessed him.
Pafford transported Hinton to Wadley Regional Medical Center in Hope. His wife was uninjured.
