According to the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office, there are currently three open Missing Person cases in the county from the last five years. Sheriff James Singleton said that as of today, investigators with the Sheriff’s Office and Police Department continue to work on the cases and have tracked down leads without results.
Anyone with information about their disappearance or wherabouts since they went missing is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 870-777-6727 or the Hope Police Department at 870-777-3434. The Sheriff hopes the public will assist in locating these individuals and returning them to their families and friends.
Madeline R. Tomlin, 25-year-old female, has been missing for almost two years. She is described as a 5’5″ tall, 115 pound caucasian female with redish-brown hair and green eyes. She has a butterfly tattoo on her foot, the name “Cash” tattooed on her ankle and a horseshoe on her shoulder.
Madeline was last seen in Hope the evening of May 20, 2015. In addition to the Sheriff’s Office and HPD main line, you can contact Detctive Corodado at 870-722-2561 with information about her disappearance or her wherabouts since she was last seen.
Joseph Christopher Cowart, 63-year-old male, has been missing for almost 5 years. He is described as a 6′ tall, 195 pound caucasian male with brown hair and brown eyes.
Cowart was last reported contacted May 15, 2012. His uncle reported him missing after he had no contact with him for five days. Cowart’s uncle said he talked with Joseph every day and it wasn’t like him to be out of touch for extended periods of time.
Cowart’s uncle told deputies he went to Cowart’s residence at 3096 Highway 174 South on May 20, 2015 to make contact with him and found his vehicle under the carport and the house locked. He said he searched inside the house and around the property and did not find him.
Casey Clark, 36-year-old male, has been missing for five years. He is described as a 5’6″ tall, 175 pound black male with black hair and brown eyes.
Clark’s father reported him missing on March 30, 2012. He reported Clark was last seen March 27, 2012. He said his son was staying with a friend and Amandex Apartments at 3000 West Avenue B and left i na vehicle that was later found at Boll Weevil Liquor Store in Miller County. Clark’s wallet was found at his friend’s apartment.
