Floyd L. “Pee Wee” Whitley in his 88th season of life passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017. He was born August 17, 1928 in Pace, MS to Joe and Elizabeth Whitley. He was the youngest of three sons born to this union. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving and devoted wife, Ruby Hamilton Whitley; two brothers, IV and Willie “Joe” Whitley.

At an early age, Floyd’s family moved to the town of Hope, AR and its was where he called home and raised his family. Floyd lived his life to the fullest and never met a stranger. He was well known by many.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children; grandchildren; great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and extended family. He will be greatly missed but the memory of him will forever be last to the ones that loved him. Floyd’s confessed his hope in Christ and made his peace with God. Floyd’s words to our Heavenly Father: “How do I know that God loves me, because the Bible tells me so”.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 17, 2017 in the Chapel of Carrigan Memorial with Pastor Jarvis Carrigan, Youth Pastor of Second Baptist Church, Little Rock, AR delivering the eulogy.

Committal service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 18, 2018 in Cave Hill #2 Cemetery, Hope, AR.
