Arkansas State Police Special Agents have arrested a New York woman in connection to a body that was found Sunday on a farm in Prairie County Arkansas.
According to the Arkansas State Police, Virginia Colvin, 56, of Johnstown, NY was the subject of a search State Police Special Agents have undertaken this week after a the discovery of a body Sunday, March 5. The individual is believed to have died in New York State and were transported to Arkansas in a suitcase. Colvin was arrested at approximately 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8.
State Police worked with Prairie County Deputies and Johnstown, NY law enforcement during their investigation. The body is currently at the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for identification and to determine the manner and cause of death.
Colvin is being held at the Prairie County Jail in connection with the abuse of a corpse. Special Agents are also questioning Michael Strivers, who is being held in the Lonoke County Jail on unrelated charges.
