Troy Ray Hollis, age 73, of Hope passed away February 16, 2017 in Texarkana.

Troy was born on August 13, 1943 in Hope to Verdo and Helen Hollis. On August 23, 1963, he married his wife of 53 years, Patsy Smith Hollis. Troy was well known as a Volkswagen mechanic. He was also a lifelong farmer, who enjoyed his family, fishing, hunting and reading. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Troy is preceded in death by his parents and sister Sherry White.

Troy is survived by his wife, Pat; three daughters: Devin Sherrill and husband Russ of Benton, AR; Tammy O’Neill and husband Scott of San Antonio, Texas; and Becky Roberts and husband Eric of Mayflower, AR; seven grandchildren Madden, Parker and Micah Sherrill; Cullen and Laidan O’Neill; and Nathan and Abby Roberts; and two great grandchildren, Dakota and Karson Hall.

Pall bears are grandsons Parker Sherrill, Nathan Roberts and Cullen O’Neill; and sons-in-law Russ Sherrill, Eric Roberts and Scott O’Neill.

Visitation is from 1-2 p.m. at Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home on Saturday, February 18 followed by graveside services at 2:30 p.m. at New Hope Cemetery (Patmos).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in his memory be made to Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 412 Bill Clinton Drive, Hope, Arkansas, 71801.
